Stowting School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard, effect change and feel empowered in the decision processes of the school.

Our school Council members are a democratically elected group of students who represent their peers and enable pupils to actively participate in their own education, making a positive contribution to the school environment. The 12 members are elected every year from each year group.

Children can talk to any member of the council during the course of the day. The school council members meet with the Headteacher every other week to express the opinion and views of their classmates and report back to the classes after each meeting.

The School Council members for 2023-24 are:

  • Year 6 – Arthur & Zachary

  • Year 5 - Eva & Xavier

  • Year 4 - Charlie & Arabella

  • Year 3 - Ember & Faye

  • Year 2 - Ewan & Matilda

  • Year 1 - Charlie & Matilda

Photos of all our School Council members are displayed in the entrance to the school so you know who your representatives are but please feel free to talk to any member if you have an idea or suggestion you would like discussed at any of our meetings.
