School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

School Councils are democratically elected groups of students who represent their peers and enable pupils to become partners in their own education, making a positive contribution to the school environment.

At Stowting, our school council has 12 members who meet when required at lunchtimes. The members are elected every year from each classroom, a boy and a girl from each year group.

You can talk to any member of the council during the course of the day. Your school council members will also feedback to you after each meeting.

The School Council members for this year are:

  • Year 6 -  Jessica & Jack.

  • Year 5 - Maude.

  • Year 4 - Holly & Rocco.

  • Year 3 - Aimee & Elliot.

  • Year 2 - Evie & Henry.

  • Year 1 - Eila & Isaac.

There are pictures of all our school council members in the entrance to the school so you know who the representatives are for your year group but please feel free to talk to any member if you have an idea or suggestion you would like discussed at any of our meetings.

After a passionate debate today in the second school council meeting to decide our charity for 2016 - 2017, we are pleased to announce that it will be The Battersea Dog & Cat Home.
