I have been part of the Stowting parent community for the past two years with my oldest currently in Year 2 and we will be applying for our youngest to attend next September.

We cannot speak highly enough of the teaching and administrative staff at Stowting and how they have welcomed our son. He has flourished since joining the school and he thoroughly enjoys attending, which is a testament to the school. As such, I would like to be considered for the role of Parent Governor to support this amazing school going forward.

In terms of background, I have a Bachelor of Science with 2.1 Honours in Finance from the University of Essex. I also tutored friends and family members in Accounting & Mathematics, who have gone on to become primary school teachers and Chartered Accountants.

With my ethnic background being British Caribbean I believe I’ll add a different dynamic to the Board and will also bring a different perspective to help the school provide a safe and happy place for every child to thrive.

I currently work from home in the IT space selling Enterprise Software, which will allow me the flexibility to attend the required meetings per year. Within this role I am responsible for driving revenue and growing the UK market for an American company, so being able to accurately budget forecast on a monthly/quarterly/annually basis as well as understanding and interpreting numbers which will  help me tremendously in this role.
