I have been a governor at Stowting since June 2016. I chose to take on this role as I think small rural schools are essential for the future of our rural communities. I also want to help every child access the very best learning opportunities so that they reach their full potential. Over the last year I have been involved with the recruitment of the Head teacher and the SIAMS inspection, as well as the ongoing business of supporting and challenging the school. In 2019 I will be looking to ensure our children are developing the right attitude and behaviour for learning and taking a special interest in resilience. Before having my daughter Ellen (year 5), I spent 16 years working in academic publishing and communications. It is a privilege to spend time in our small school with our fabulous children.
