John Bushby BA (Hons); FCA
John graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne joining an international firm of Chartered Accountants. After qualifying, he gained several years experience in the audit and management consulting business of the firm before moving into the financial services industry. Here he held a number of management roles which included a period of time working in the United States. John most recently spent 15 years with MasterCard International working in both London and Brussels in a number of leadership roles including being Chief Executive for the UK and Ireland, Benelux and Nordics Region. The father of Max, a pupil at Folkestone Primary Academy, John also has two older children who have now successfully embarked on their own careers. John, now retired, his partner Anette and Max have lived in Folkestone since 2011.
John became an elected Parent Governor of Folkestone All Age Academy in 2018. He also serves on the Trust wide Risk and Remuneration Committee for Turner Schools, a Multi-Academy Trust. John also volunteers regularly at the school as a weekly reading volunteer, and has also been appointed as the Treasurer and a Trustee of The Folkestone Primary Academy PTFA.
