24.6.16 Homework: Create your work of "BEACON ART" in any style or materials you like. Judging on Friday!

17.6.16 Homework: With the EU referendum and the Euro 2016 football happening at the moment, it is handy that we now need to look at continents in Geography. Try to identify as many of the countries on your map of Europe as possible and those who chose to do the challenge, see which capital cities you can name.

10.6.16 Homework : Identify the types of angle in the polygons and put the 3 lines of angles into size order.

We constructed our own Clinometers and used them to estimate the height of the church.

We came, we saw, we conquered Hever Castle. Although some of us got lost in the maze and some got a little damp!

Green Group - break, brake, great, grate, here, hear, meat and meet

Purple Group - break, brake, peace, piece, weather, whether, medal, meddle, missed, mist, rain and reign.

Red Group - break, brake, here, hear, plain and plane.

Orange Group - break, brake, great, grate, berry, bury, groan, grown, hole and whole.

Remember that you will need to know which homophone has which meaning for the test!

As well as writing an interesting sentence for each of your spellings, I would like you to find out 5 facts about the city of Canterbury that interest you. Please present them neatly with an illustration of any building/landmark from the city.

Spellings for Friday 27th November:

Orange Group - Canterbury, village, cathedral, metropolis, settlement, regular, extreme, extremely, consider and continue.

Red Group - station, question, position, Canterbury, peace and piece.

Purple Group - imagination, interesting, important, increasingly, centre, central, natural, naughty, threw, through, thorough and thought.

Green Group - Canterbury, knowledge, perhaps, popular, sentence, separate, special and straight.

Don't forget the 3x tables test on Wednesday!

Purple - pester, vivid, errors, dilute, various, constantly, exterior, vacant, request, extinguish, surrender and glorious.

 

Green - science, special, build, fruit, different, difficult and describe.

Make sure you learn the correct group and remember capital letters at the beginning of proper nouns only e.g. October. Good luck!
