Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Provision

Here at Stowting School, we take seriously our responsibility for all children to make personal and academic growth. The nature of our Special Educational Needs provision is founded through the SEN Code of Practice (2015). This legislation sets out the duty of schools and colleges to provide appropriate adjustments, supplementary aids and additional services and support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. The Local Offer

The Children and Families Act 2014 requires the Local Authority and schools to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25.The intention of the Local Offer is to improve choice and transparency for families. It will help parents and young people to understand the range of services and provision in the local area and contributes to a more equal partnership in planning for the needs of children with SEND.
