Child Protection/Safeguarding Statement

Stowting CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this committment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.

We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.

Our designated Child Safeguarding Leader (DSL) is Mrs S Uden (Headteacher).

Our Deputy DSL is Mrs Blackwell.

If you have a concern regarding Safeguarding please telephone the school to discuss this with Mrs Uden, Designated safeguarding Lead or Mrs Blackwell, Deputy Designated safeguarding Lead.

If out of school hours, please email either: headteacher@stowting.kent.sch.uk or

Mrs Blackwell on:  vblackwell@stowting.kent.sch.uk

School policies and procedures cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies and procedures for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office.

Should you wish to have paper copies of policies or any other aspect detailed on the Web Site this can be provided via the school office.
